Monet House and Gardens
Claude Monet's House and Gardens. Wow! This day really surprised me. I don't think I entered this day with many expectations, I was just willing to be taken along for the ride and, it is safe to say, it did not disappoint! Located about an hour away from the centre of Paris, in the quaint Normandy village of Giverny, Monet's house was really simple for us to get to. We took the train from Gare Saint-Lazare to Vernon-Giverny which could not have been simpler if we tried! Everything was well labelled, easy to navigate and on time which made our overall experience just seamless and allowed us to sightsee parts of France that we would not have seen otherwise! Neighbouring towns, suburban streets and countryside that made you forget how close Paris really was. I love that part of travelling - seeing people's everyday lives in different countries is just fascinating to me! Maybe I'm just nosey!
